Margie Robicheaux - why I am an active supporter of Greg
Back

I am 71 years old and have studied the Bible, by correspondence,
with inmates at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for many
years. WHY? Because the Bible says in Acts 10:34, "In truth I perceive
that God shows no partiality." Again in II Peter 3:9 he is, "Not
willing that ANY should perish but that ALL should come to repentance."
I have always believed the best way to decrease crime is by education,
Bible education being the most important.
I have had many different responses to the Bible lessons. I am sorry to
say most lose interest after a short period and I never hear from them
again. I am happy to say I have several that study hard and honestly
try to learn the Commandments of God. Gregory Wright is one of these.
From the beginning he not only read the lesson and answered the
questions; he had questions of his own. I must admit I didn’t
always have the answers myself; which resulted in a lot of research on
my part; therefore I was learning right along with him. I was elated; I
had a man that really wanted to learn the Bible. We have been studying
together for almost 7 years and have become very good friends.
During this time I have read the trial transcripts of both Gregory
Wright and John Wade Adams. The unfairness and unconstitutional aspects
of Gregory’s trial were unbelievable! I am not an expert on law;
however, even as a lay person I could see he did not get a fair trial.
He was tried as sole perpetrator of the crime; the only evidence of
this was a statement by John Adams which was read in court, John Adams
never appeared. This is not constitutional; Gregory had the right to
cross examine his accuser. Several months later, the same prosecutor
and judge tried John Adams as an accessory and said he lied in the
statement that was used to convict Gregory. That is just the beginning
of the many injustices in Gregory’s trial. Donna Vick, the
victim, was Gregory’s friend, he did not kill her.
I am not saying Gregory is without fault, he made a lot of mistakes in
his life; who hasn’t? However, he does not deserve to die for a
murder he did not commit. A fair trial is all he is asking for.
Very Sincerely,
Margie Robicheaux
